[Accessorize] Pink Spice

Pink Spice is from Accessorize’s nail polish range; it’s said to be a dupe to MAC Bad Fairy. It is a metallic duochrome pink-orange.

Below is three coats. My first Accessorize varnish; I was so happy getting it in Durham! And surprised because I guess it’s been sold out from time to time, at least regarding their web site.

[Biocura] Fliederzauber

Fliederzauber means something like Lilac Magic (although this varnish’s shade is rather pink than lilac)… the magic of this is the holographic effect!

This was actually a quite cheap polish, since I got it from a discount shop. But it’s so stunning; the holographic effect is amazing, and moreover it dries quickly and is so easy to apply! Two coats – this is actually my current manicure. Still waiting for my nails to grow again.

Here’s my first swatch; I took this photo in about six weeks ago.

[Essie] Burma Ruby

I’m back from Durham and we had a wonderful time! 🙂

Sadly this has been discontinued for quite a while. Burma Ruby is a wine red shade with gold shimmer and thus rather christmassy.

These are older pictures, again taken sometime in the summer. But my nails are currently nearly as short as in the photos, but squared. I broke two nails when handling the suitcase and thus decided to cut the rest of them too.

[Chanel] Sirocco

This has been in my collection for quite a while.

sirocco

I’m a bit in a rush, since we are going to England tomorrow (we’ll be back on Wednesday evening), so please don’t worry if I don’t find the time to approve any comments. I’ll definitely be checking my emails and other stuff probably on Monday afternoon at one of the University Libraries… I prefer Palace Green Library, it’s the most beautiful library ever – specialised in law and music – and next to Durham Cathedral. 🙂

Nevertheless, here comes Sirocco, two thicker coats.

My husband is going to join us on our flight to Paris (where we’ll change planes) in order to stay there and to explore the Louvre etc… and he’ll be also paying the Dior boutique at Avenue Montaigne a visit on my behalf. That’s true love! 🙂

[A England] Tristam

Tristam is definitely the most beautiful holo dark blue I’ve ever seen. I purchased this directly from A England a couple months ago, and it was dispatched the very same day. 🙂

Swatches were done in the summer and, unfortunately, in a rush… I guess I used two coats; photos don’t do the stunning holo effect justice. The dark blue is amazing; this is simply a wonderful shade.

[Essence] Blue Addicted

Not much text these days, I’m sorry – I’m rather busy with university-related stuff and generally a bit absent-minded. Anyway, I like Essence’s current standard range, particularly their glitters. Blue Addicted seems to be a dupe to Across the Universe by Deborah Lippmann. Green and light blue hexagon-shaped glitters and smaller blue glitter particles meet in a blue jelly base.

Below is three coats, I wanted it to be quite opaque. Formula is a bit thickish but nevertheless good to work with, and it’s really loaded with glitter.

[Chanel] Spirale

My current mani; I’ve got two appointments on Friday and won’t have time to do my nails tomorrow or so; these meetings are quite different from each other… I think Spirale is a good choice, being wine red with a slight golden shimmer.

Three thin coats.

I’m currently having some trouble at university, that’s why I am a bit distressed. Nothing that couldn’t be resolved over the next few days; moreover, I am going to be in Durham from 20 to 23 November and hope to meet lots of my friends over there! 🙂

On our way to ballet today, I saw someone with a bubble tea and discovered that there is a new bubble tea bar near Hamburg University (which is not that far from our place… only three bus stops). I’m actually into Chai Latte but love ‘boba’ too, and it’s been ages since I had one, so I will have to try it! Caramel Milk Tea with Rainbow Pearls (gosh, seems that I’m Asian through and through, the nature versus nurture thing) and extra sweet of course, yummy!

[Essence] Re-mix Your Style – Love and Dance Top Coats

At first, I wasn’t sure about those two, but anyway, I could not resist.

topcoats

I used them both over Chanel Vendetta, which is an almost black purple with a hidden shimmer. The Dance top coat is actually called Waking Up in Vegas and contains loads of flakies. I’ve heard that it is a dupe to GOSH Rainbow and Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure. Unfortunately, I do not own these two, so I can’t do comparisons.

Feels So Good is the actual name of the Love top coat, which gives the mani underneath a pinkish shimmer, but it’s a quite complex one, so that Vendetta appears more purple than black.

I like both of them. 🙂
