Skyline combines brown and maroon, thus making it a perfect autumn colour. It’s fall collection indeed.
Shown below is two coats.
Today we had a really sunny Sunday, and since it was probably the last opportunity to wear a shimmer finish in bright sunlight, I pulled out Spring Ball, which I’ve had for more than three years. This is a peach base with a slight hint of coral, packed with glassflecks.
Two coats shown below.

Ivoire (which has been re-named to Muguet) is a semi-sheer nude shade, combining beige and rose.
Since this is really transparent, I used three coats – still without achieving opaqueness.
I’m back – after having a great time at Fantasy Filmfest, 51 films in eleven days (I missed out one, but deliberately). It was fun, as always, being in the movie theatre every day. Although the Filmfest finished on Sunday, I went to watch Don’t Breathe yesterday, regular programme … And Filmfest Hamburg is soon to start. In spite of all those films I managed to paint my nails every two or three days. I’m currently wearing Red Glove, which is a classic red with the slightest blue undertone.
As it seems to be autumn now, at least regarding the weather, photos were taken inside.
Tonight is the night: 30th Fantasy Filmfest Opening Night (just two movies, but from tomorrow I’ll be watching “5 a day”, until 18 September). So looking forward; the selection of films is amazing this year. However, my being at the cinema also means that I won’t be posting that much, since I will also be wearing nail colours I have tried before.
Nevertheless, I have a new post: Rouge Radical. Although it looks rather sheer in the bottle, it is surprisingly opaque (considering its sheerness, it won’t turn into an crème finish though) on the nails and thus more like a jelly.
This is two coats of Rouge Radical; there is still a visible nail line, but initially I expected something like a transparent, slightly tinted top coat. So in the end I really liked this nail gloss (and glossy it is).
Opening Night (which would actually be perfect for Fantasy Filmfest 😉 ) is one of the latest Dior nail varnishes I bought. We were just about to go to Lower Saxony on Friday when the Alsterhaus Dior counter called, announcing that they had received new nail polishes. Didn’t took long for me to get there … and have an ice cream later.
Dior says Opening Night is a “blueberry blue”, which is basically right, but it also tends to be more a dark indigo shade, probably with a hint of purple (just a tiny bit). It also contains the subtle Dior shimmer, but otherwise has a crème finish.
Shown below is two coats.
Indirect sunlight.
Photo taken inside. Opening Night is for sure one of the darkest Dior nail vanishes of my collection. Pretty shade and neither blue not purple.
