Another A England – Gloriana. Red base with golden glassflecks and thus very shimmery. One of my favourites for the Christmas season.
The formula of Gloriana is very dense; it is actually opaque after one coat. Nevertheless, shown above are two coats.

Green, one of my favourite colours, at least with regard to painting my nails. We Rock the Green is, moreover, packed with small glassflecks.
This is two coats, and the Essence formula is as always, flawless to apply and drying quickly.

Strawberry Fields, one of my favourite China Glaze shades; with its golden glassflecks in a pink base, it’s a colour that makes you happy (even though pink might not be something associated with strawberries 😉 ).

My thought was that Strawberry Fields might be similar to Catrice Call me Princess (although this has a liquid sand finish), but the bottle comparison already proves very cleary that they are different. 😉
At present, my favourite Catrice nail varnish is Purple Reign. it has a rich purple base and is packed with blue flakes – stunning and beautiful.

I would have loved managing a macro shot, but, unfortunately, all of them were blurred. 😦 I also notice that it has been more than a year since my last Catrice post … but this brand definitely deserves more attention.
My favourite top coat for this season, imitating snowfalls. It’s packed with big white bits and smaller glitter particles in a transparent base. My daughter got Let It Snow for me, and so far, I’ve tried it over a couple of varnishes.
My first pick was Pillow Fight (Ciaté), a grey shade with a tad of lilac/mauve.
Here is Let It Snow combined with another Essence, Goofy Blue (Snow Jam Collection of last winter). Goofy Blue has a shimmer of its own and contains flakies, so at first I thought it might be too much topping it with Let it Snow … but in the end, this is my favourite combo.

Here it is over Essence Always On My Mint, a pastel mint shade with a slight shimmer. I liked this too, that’s probably the reason why I took so many photos!

Much anticipated. Minuit spots glassflecks in a wine red/plum base. It’s an awesome shade that puts me in the mood for Christmas.
Two coats. The pictures show my actual mani, thus topped with one coat Sally Hansen InstaDri. So far, Minuit is my favourite shade for Christmas, although I’m very excited to try (Chanel) Rouge Rubis.

Smooth Sailing is a periwinkle blue containing loads of glassflecks.

Just re-discovered this one, and I guess it’s one of those perfect autumn shades. Cookie Love is a slightly rusty brown, or bronze, packed with shimmer and flakies. it’s beautiful and I think it matches every skintone.
Two coats – almost every essence shade is opaque with two coats (or even just one coat).

Dior did the glitter thing (again); Princess is a pink shade with silver glitter particles. I usually like pinks, and I saved this for a sunny day.
However, when taking the photos, there were some clouds in the sky …

Here’s another OPI, I Don’t Give a Rotterdam. I don’t own many varnishes of their Holland Collection of 2012 (Thanks a Windmillion can be viewed here and I wanted this because it looks special and great for any occasion. I Don’t Give a Rotterdam is a light blue with a certain proportion of grey, also containing glassflecks.
