[A England] Camden Town

It’s been a while since I dedicated a post to A England and moreover, these photos are still from last year. But Camden Town, of course, hasn’t lost its beauty! Base colour is a mixture of plum and eggplant, with a scattered holographic finish.

I’m the most happy person because swimming pools are open again, so this week I was at the outdoor pool in Nienburg (which was pretty empty – great for training though). Pools in Hamburg are crowded, but  nevertheless I’m looking forward to going swimming on Sunday.

[Essence] It Wasn’t Me

It Wasn’t Me is almost vintage because it was released in 2015, and it’s only recently that I finally applied this  purple glitter. It’s almost eggplant or at least a deep purple shade, which is packed with purple and blue glitter.

The finish is gritty; here are two coats without top coat, for this sandy effect. In spite of all that glitter removal was easy.

[OPI] Siberian Nights

I caught a cold when I was on my mother’s balcony at the nursing home, trying to phone her health insurance. It’s not that bad – I had a sore throat yesterday and still feel poorly -, but I won’t be going swimming tomorrow and hope I’ll be able to towards the end of the week. Maybe I’ll find the time to go through my stash to see which colours I haven’t shown yet.

To start with, here is Siberian Nights, an eggplant beauty which had been released eleven years ago! Can’t believe that I haven’t posted it before.

So here it is, two coats shown below. The colour is a deep, dark eggplant (or muted purple).

[Dior] Sauvage (#924)

Three more days regarding Fantasy Filmfest, and I’ve already watched 30+ films so far. Hence there is not much time for anything else, although I managed to get a bag of Filmfest Hamburg, starting next week.

As for Sauvage, I have worn this a couple of times since its release but realised only shortly that I had never taken photos. It’s an eggplant shade or dark plum.

[butter LONDON] Pitter Patter

I have neither worn nor shown purple for a while. It’s rather berry and coral season now, since summer has arrived, so I had nearly forgotten how classy purple can be. Pitter Patter had patiently waited for its turn, so here is this eggplant purple with shimmer.

[Dior] Cosmic (#899)

One of my latest Dior nail varnishes is Cosmic – it’s actually brand new, being part of this year’s Christmas Collection. The colour is a dark eggplant/plum base with golden shimmer.

Application was two coats. I tried my best regarding capturing the shimmer, but it was too dark in the flat. Probably the macro view at the end of this post will give you an idea.

[Chanel] Roubachka (514)

Roubachka, an eggplant shade and a bit like the dark purple sister of iconic Rouge Noir, also in terms of the jelly-ish formula and its application.

Two coats shown below. The glossy finish of the “new” Chanels is amazing! Moreover, I wore this for about four days, which I normally don’t because I like to try new colours (but I got a cold and hence did not feel like switching nail polishes) and even after such a longer period of time, the finish was still shiny.

[Chanel] Châtaigne (669)

Châtaigne. Dark chestnut brown with a slight proportion of eggplant/plum, just enough to be visible.

chataigne669_zpsivczczzi

Brilliant glossy finish, by the way. I only added top coat to achieve a dry surface more quickly, but it is not really necessary for Châtaigne. Shown below is two coats.
