[China Glaze] I Just Canterlot

I saved I Just Canterlot for the autumn season because glitters help me through the stormy and darker season. This one has a purple semi-transparent base and contains loads of holographic glitter.

Two coats applied. Photos were taken while the sun showed up.

Different (natural) light. You’ll probably don’t need any coloured base for this but I guess it might look amazing over black or even white too.

Last but not least, artificial lighting.

[China Glaze] Too Busy Being Awesome

Too Busy Being Awesome. I like this colour, utterly amazing cyan, and I regret that I left it in Hamburg. Since homeschooling will last until at least mid-April, we decided to stay in my small hometown until further notice. It would be too risky going back, even for one day or just a few hours, to sort things out. Too many are infected.

[A England] Anne Boleyn

March already – and Hamburg is still covered with snow. At least the sun is shining today and I will be going out, if only for shopping because I am still recovering from the flu but getting better every day.

Sunshine is normally ideal for holographic nail varnishes but it’s been a while since I had applied Anne Boleyn and taken the photos. This has a dark red base with a scattered holographic finish.

Natural light. Unfortunaly, photos were still taken in the flat so that the daylight doesn’t bring out the holo much more.

[A England] The Most Happy

Merry Christmas everyone! 🙂 Hope you are all enjoying a wonderful Christmastime and wishing you happy holidays from the bottom of my heart. I’m at my mother’s place and a bit tired although it was a nice trip because there weren’t many people travelling. I guess most people preferred to stay at home today, spending time with their beloved ones.

At Lower Saxony, we have no snow and I admit I like the mild wheather. Tomorrow we are going to watch a DVD, King Arthur – Legend of the Sword. 😉 The swimming bath is closed, so I’ll go there again on Boxing Day.

As for The Most Happy, I had this on my nails a couple of days ago. It’s bright purple with holographic glitter and a scattered holo finish.

[A England] Katherine of Aragon

On to the next Tudoresque nail varnish. I thought Katherine of Aragon (Henry’s first wife)would make a beautiful colour for the last days before Christmas. It’s an antique gold shade with a hint of taupe and containing holographic glitter, resulting in a scattered holo finish.

Two coats applied. Again, one coat would have been fine too, with regards to opaqueness.

[A England] Katherine Parr

Sorry for posting so many A England nail colours these days, but it’s the only brand I am currently wearing, since I am so addicted to the Tudoresque collection. 😉 Today’s nail varnish is Katherine Parr, again scattered holographic finish. Base colour is blue but with hints of lilac and a pink shimmer.

Two coats shown below. This, too, applies flawlessly and presents high opaqueness.

[A England] Catherine Howard

As I had mentioned before I was expecting A England’s Tudoresque nail varnishes and can tell you now that I am totally into this collection. Here’s the first one I applied, Catherine Howard (the fifth and youngest wife of Henry VIII). The colour is teal with a scattered holo effect and golden bits of glitter.

This is actually a one-coater, so dense and opaque. Only because I am used to it, I applied two coats.
