[Mercedes-Benz] South Seas Blue

About once a year, since there aren’t that many colours to pick from, I seize the opportunity to present a nail vanish by Mercedes-Benz, matching some shades of their cars (nice idea, isn’t it?). South Seas Blue is an eyecatcher, as a car finish as well as regarding nail colour. It’s an ocean blue with a visible shimmer and metallic finish.

Shown below is (the usual 😉 ) two coats.

This is much lighter than, for instance, Chanel Bel-Argus, which has a similar finish. Just felt reminded of this because I have been wearing Bel-Argus for two days now. 🙂

[Mercedes-Benz] Monolith Grey

Here’s a rather extraordinary varnish, not because of its shade but of its brand – Mercedes Benz (although licensed by LCN). Their nail colours are the same shades as their cars, so if I had a Mercedes car (but I can’t even drive  ), I could wear the matching varnish. 😉 Monolith Grey is more bronze than grey, and it has a metallic finish.

Two coats. Quality is great, this was easy to apply and dried quickly.

[Mercedes-Benz] Zircon Red (Zirkonrot)

Mercedes-Benz does nailpolish? Sort of… along with their new SLK R172 roadster, they released a shade that matches the exact colour of the car, Zircon Red. Crazy thing, isn’t it? I saw this last week on ChaHeVu’s lovely blog and because I love reds, I knew that I must have this. While ChaHeVu, as always, shot the stuff in an adequate setting, I can “only” come up with the usual white Rolf Benz leather chair (or, alternatively, the pale green couch), on which my polishes take a seat in order to have their picture taken… keep the last bit and swop Rolf for Mercedes!

And on my nails, two coats. When I was a child, ages ago, this kind of finish was labelled “metallic” when referring to cars, and everyone was crazy about it. But actually it’s more like a shimmer, and it has a sorbet-like finish.

Zircon Red (aka Zirkonrot) was created by LCN and is available at Mercedes-Benz car dealerships, in their official shop or on eBay.
