Look what I found in my stash – in the meantime, Manhattan have changed their bottle design ages ago, and there are still nail varnishes in my collection I hadn’t applied yet. Purple Poetry has a purple base enriched with pink and blue glassflecks.
Two coats shown below under artificial lighting.
I guess you won’t be surprised to hear that I have a ton of nail varnishes in my stash which I have not worn, nor swatched yet. There are many pretty colours among them, such as Midnight Sparkle. This is denim blue with small silver and blue glassflecks.
Moreover, but it does not say so on the bottle, it dries semi-matte. Shown below is two coats.
I guess I like all of Manhattan’s Birthday Colours. Cupcake Addicted is another beautiful shade with its white base, golden shimmer and pink glitter. It is a bit similar to The Hungry Asian Belle, but Belle has, in addition, brown hexagon-shaped glitter bits.
Two coats applied.
It is still freezing outside, so Frozen Margarita kind of combines summer and cold days, haha … 😉 This one contains glitter and glassflecks in a pink jelly-ish base.
Shown below is two coats.
Birthday Colours collection again – I’ve got a crush on it, especially on Aquamania, because my mother gave it to me for my birthday: She went out to get it with my daughter, thus her grandchild, although she hardly can walk, and her condition is not so fine overall. Blissful is an understatement regarding my feelings when I opened my presents and learnt that this actually came from her. She never got nail varnishes for me (or perfumes, that’s what I collected during my teens), but I rarely remember her having bare nails, so she is more or less responsible for my doing my nails (which I started in fifth grade or so).
As for Aquamania, this is a turquoise green with a pretty golden shimmer.
Two coats applied – flawless application, and it dried rather quickly.
I purchased a few of the glittery Birthday Colours by Manhattan; this collection was released shortly before my own birthday, so I thought they would be fun to wear, being sparkly and bright. Amazing Anniversary has a semi-sheer teal base with black (yes 🙂 ) glitter chunks as well as smaller golden glitter particles.
Shown below is two coats, the formula builds up quickly.
Blue Party Dress from the current Birthday Colours collection, just noticed it at the drugstore and could not resist. This is actually an electric blue, much brighter than in the photos. Moreover, it is packed with copper shimmer, for that extra bit of sparkle.
So pretty! Blue Party Dress is opaque with two coats.
Here we’ve got another of those emerald green, Ma Marais. So pretty, isn’t it?
Two coats, but, unfortunately, artificial light only. Hope you can still recognise how beautiful this is, at least from the bottle picture.
Glow It Up was released in collaboration with Playboy Magazine, so this is an intense pink with glitter particles.
However, once applied it has a gritty surface, which I did not expect but also did not mind in the end because Glow it up is pretty unique in my stash. Moreover and sadly, the shimmer is not too visible on the nail. Shown below is two coats with one layer of top coat (Essie Good to Go). A second top coat layer wouldn’t have been to bad, I guess. 😉
Rodeo Drive was released this summer, as part of Manhattan’s Blogger Edition. It’s still available at some drugstores around here, just saw it yesterday. I love mint green/pale jade green shades, and Rodeo Drive also has a golden shimmer.
In daylight (unfortunately, photos were taken quite late in the afternoon and it was cloudy outside) it looks just like a plain, but beautiful mint green polish.
Here is Rodeo Drive under artificial light, which brings out the shimmer.
Even better – the close up view. 🙂
