I have the summer nail varnishes of Chanel and Dior ready to be applied – but first, it’s Zera. Last week I was in the mood for grey, and this one comes with a subtle green shimmer.
After I had taken the photos I realised that there was still a draft waiting to be posted – since 2012! So here are the old photos, two coats (I guess).
Photos from last week. 😉
Since it’s been snowing and has become really cold outside, I applied Snow Sprinkles to reflect the current weather state. This nail varnish has a semi-sheer white base with blue, teal, pink and red glitter, as well as pink star-shaped glitter bits.
Shown below is three coats on its own, evened out with top coat.
One of my older drafts of last year – but, of course, still a great nail varnish! Secret is a purple shade with red and silver holographic glitter. Quite unique in my stash.
Two coats shown below; this one is really quick-drying.
Happy Blue Year – so pretty! This one is a dark blue, semi-transparent base with silver, red and purple glitter chunks.
Two coats shown below. You may notice that it has been a while since I swatched this, to be more precise, photos were taken at the end of September. I kept them for today.
We are not having any special plans for today – just hanging around at my parents’ place (my mother has already gone back to the nursing home). The last time I experienced New Year’s Eve here must have been in 2000 or so …
Have a wonderful evening!
New Year’s Eve ist going to be soon, and I am (still) in the mood for glitter polishes. Moreover, it has been snowing, and from my parents’ place, I can overlook a wonderful winter landscape, not too far from the river Weser.
This is Swell, consisting of a bright teal base with loads of glitter chunks, dark orange and blue.
Seems like I kept these pictures to show them at the end of this year – I wore Swell in February, when I took the photos (with artificial light).
Happy New Year! Isn’t this great for this occasion? Red and blue glitter in a semi-sheer black base. So, apart from red, I’m currently into blacks (or always have been).
Three coats; this is loaded with glitter particles.
Second Chance deserves more than just a second chance. I’ve posted this before and I’m still blown away by its burgundy red/purple base, packed with green and fuchsia microglitter.
Two coats. I really like this subtle but visible shimmer.
Kiwi Smoothie is a mint green with black glitter particles. It’s a perfect summer shade!
It is a bit sheer, thus I used three coats. Beautiful colour. 🙂
Close-up view, photo taken on a sunny day, we had a couple of them during last week.
Happy Easter (still) with Mint Condition by The Hungry Asian. This shade is not Easter-related, but you have noticed that I adore Kae’s varnishes. Mint condition is not a true mint shade, since it contains a certain proportion of turquoise, but it’s lovely with all those colourful glitter particles.
Here’s the close-up view.
You might remember that I am a huge fan of The Hungry Asian (Kae) frankens. Jinx is from her Halloween collection of last year, and it contains copper, gold, yellow, orange and red glitter particles in a black jelly base. This is the mini version of the bottle (love its heart shape).
Three thin coats of Jinx… I couldn’t manage doing a close up shot. 😦 Photos were taken at the beginning of January, so they are not that old, compared to other drafts I still keep in my folder…
Since yesterday, Hamburg is covered with snow again… argh, I thought that winter would finally be over. It’s just cold and chilly. Glad that the heating works fine!
