The Versatile Blogger Award
Happy me, I received my third award – Valens was kind enough thinking of me; please check out her blog Valens… per voi, she definitely is a versatile blogger!

There are some rules, you have to:
- thank who sends you the award and add a link to her/his blog;
- write 7 random things about you;
- give the award to other 15 bloggers you love and tell them.
I already posted seven facts about me in connection with the Award 7, but here’s some more – quite random – stuff:
1. My birthday is on 5 November.
2. About 1.5 years ago, I accidentally cut the frenulum of my upper lip. Such a small wound but so heavy bleeding!
3. I moved house for about 18 times, that’s quite a lot!
4. I have lived in three countries so far, that is Britain, France and Germany (and I was born in Thailand).
5. I’m currently reading “The Unconsoled” by Kazuo Ishiguro, I like Japanese literature a lot.
6. Last Sunday, I baked Chocolate Cake Balls. They are so yummy!

7. I miss my long hair. While I went to school and during the first years of study, my hair had thigh-length. I so regret having had it cut. Currently, it’s waist-length (I know, that’s still pretty long) and I hope it will grow again!
Giving awards to me means kind of a one-way street since I’m not good at tagging others (or just love to grab awards without handing them over
). Thus, again, anyone who loves to have this, feel free to participate!
[OPI] Ginger Bells!
Yes, Ginger Bells! with an exclamation mark. Since the weather’s gotten really frosty over the past couple of days, I thought this kind of matches the currently cold days.

Two coats and, again, an older swatch.

[Dior] Pink Graffiti
While in Berlin, I got all five polishes of the Anselm Reyle Collection by Dior (exclusively available at KaDeWe department store) and put on Pink Graffiti, the middle one.

Two coats. It’s a bright pink, similar to Pulsion (not yet swatched) or Rose Exubérant (both by Chanel), but overall a tad lighter.

[Orly] Pixie Dust
Basically, Pixie Dust reminds of Mirror Mirror (both are from the Once Upon A Time collection, that’s why it comes with another charm, a fairy), but it is more a medium grey with a hint of blue, containing sparkly flakies in a quite opaque jelly base.

Yesterday I had a little chat with Pictured Tinsel‘s Elena about this one… @Elena, I’m sure you’ll like Pixie Dust! Looking forward to seeing your swatches.
Two coats, artificial light.

[Dior] Forget-Me-Not
This is my current mani, Forget-Me-Not from this year’s Spring Collection, “Garden Party”. Like both the name and the colour.

I would describe it either as a very dark lilac or as a muted purple with a hint of grey. Under artificial light.

Natural light. Sooo cloudy.

[Chanel] Facettes d’Or – Gold Fiction (+ Satellite)
One of my favourite golden shades; this one comes in an opaque bottle.

I’m currently browsing my older pics and found these.
There are still loads of unpublished swatches in my files…

And topped with Satellite; I don’t know why I did this, but I liked the look.

[Dior] Black Sequins (+ essence Love Top Coat)
I’m considering taking this to Berlin with me next week, since I adore the black base with its silver glitter. Black Sequins goes nice with everything.

On the nails, the glitter is barely visible – but it’s there.

Topped with Essence Love Top Coat, photos were taken the next day.

[Chanel] Silver
Just silver… like a mirror perhaps. This actually came with a fixing base, however, I only got the silver varnish.

Ooh, how I miss my longer nails!

[p2] Silver Blast (over Chanel Blue Rebel)
Silver Blast is a matte silver crackle polish. It’s still available.

Here it is over Chanel Blue Rebel (with Dior top coat). I thought these colours would look nice together. I’m not that much into crackles these days, but I liked this swatch when I did in… sometime in November or so.

[Dior] Waterlily
In my view, the jade green and shimmery Waterlily by Dior represents this year’s most beautiful polish! It’s just stunning (and I love any green shades on my nails) and a scented polish too, it smells like roses.

Waterlily matches our folders.

Actually, I had gone into town to get another birthday present for my little one, and on my way back home passed by the Dior counter. When I saw my favourite Dior lady, I asked her about the new varnishes; she was so sweet and showed everything to me, because she knew that I’d pop in sometime. I had fallen in love with Waterlily the first time I saw its promotion – the Dior lady, too, she mentioned that she’d been working for Dior and gets still surprised by their new ideas and innovations.
Two coats. The rose scent is nice, not too artificial (in my opinion), but it gets softened when using a top coat.

My personal nail polish database; this is just a small blog. If you wish a particular shade to be swatched, let me know. You may use my pictures for noncommercial purposes but please give full credit, including a link to my blog. Thanks!
